We currently collect and process the following information:

How we collect your personal information

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You have submitted an enquiry to us.

  • You have made an information request to us.

  • You wish to attend, or have attended, an event.

  • You subscribe to our e-newsletter.

  • You have applied for a job with us.

  • You are representing your organisation.

We also receive personal information indirectly, in the following scenarios:

  • You have visited our website (in the case of online identifiers only)

How we use your personal data

We use the information that you have given us for:

  • The provision of a service, product or event: this means processing your data where it is necessary for the provision of a service, product or event which you have purchased or signed up for, or to take steps at your request before providing such services.

  • The performance of a contract: this means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract.

  • Legitimate Interest: this means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the most secure experience. We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests. We do not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law).

  • Compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation: this means processing your personal data where it is necessary for compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation that we are subject to.

  • Website analytics: this means the collection of standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out such things as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way that does not directly identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

 Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting admin@fruitionforbusiness.co.uk.

  2. We have a contractual obligation.

  3. We have a legal obligation.

  4. We have a vital interest.

  5. We have a legitimate interest.

Sharing your information

We may share this information with:

  • Service Providers: We may share your personal information with service providers who assist in the delivery of our products and services.

  • Associates: We may use third party associates who provide elements of services for us. We have contracts in place with our associates whereby they are classified as data processors, and we remain the data controller. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct.

  • Litigation and Recovery Specialists: We may also share your information in the event of the non-payment of an invoice. If the debt remains outstanding after the specified timeframe for payment, no payment plan is in place or an agreed payment plan is not being adhered to, we may initiate formal proceedings to recover the full amount of the unpaid invoice. As a result, we will share personal data with the litigation and recovery specialists it instructs in order for them to undertake recovery action.

  • For Business transfers: We may share or transfer your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

We will not share your information with any third parties for the purposes of direct marketing.

How we store your personal information

We store your personal information in secure cloud-based platforms only and have in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

We will notify you and any applicable regulator of any suspected personal data breach where we are legally required to do so.

How long we keep your personal data for

By law we have to keep basic information about our clients for 6 years for tax purposes. In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data (see “Your right to erasure” below).

We may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
